Psp 1003 help? Currently on 2.71 ofw

Hi all.

ive just bought a psp phat of a friend and want to put cfw onit so that i can play the latest games.
it is currently on ofw 2.71.

what is the best way to modify it?

ive researched a bit about upgrading to 5.03 and then using chickHENR2, but will this let me play new games such as tekken 6,fifa 11 and gran turismo.

also if i was to use the chickHEN method, which memory card size is the most reliable etc and is CHICKhen the best method.

i only want to play iso/cso games and so dont really want to have emulators n64 etc.

you have a 1000 model, go for the full hack, 5.00 m33 or 5.50 gen, and if you add the prometheus afterwards, you can play all the latest games, youll need a good sized card depending on how many backups and homebrew you want on it, I got 16gb and thats plenty, but 4 gb would also be good for a few, I would try to stay above 4 gb. Btw, no im not helping you to play pirated games either or where to find them so dont ask, you want to play the newest games, rent or buy them and the rip you a copy like the rest of us.

ok thanks for the info.
so basically i would need to!

1)update to firmware 5.03
2)Install ChickHen
3)then second install 5.00m33-6 (Hellcat's Recovery Flasher V1.60)
4)then thirdly install '5.50 Gen-D3'
5)then install Prometheus (5.50 Gen-D3 extension)

if this is right than can u please reply and tell me if it is or not.
i will be using a 4gb Sandisk 4GB MSPD Memory Card Gaming Card

also can i ever go back to ofw without pandora battery.
