are you sure you're on 3.71m33??? what version exactly are you on too?? cause you shouldn't need hellcats, you can just update to 5.00m33 without it but give me more info...hellcats should run

Thanks for replying. I'm on 3.71 M33-3. I think I've got a corrupt custom firmware cause it won't even let me downgrade to 1.5 or upgrade to 5.00 m33-6. What do i do?

wow...ok, try to do this part of my guide:

    -download psp tool here
-install it into your game folder

take the 500.pbp file you already have, place it in the root of your memory stick (no folders, the root is the main area you see when you connect to the pc via usb...you'll see the following folders: psp/seplugins/iso....that's your root, just place it there among those folders)

    once you got all that...
-exit usb mode, go to your games and run psp tool
-choose memory stick options, then create magic memory stick, then the last option to install DC v8 (5.00m33-4)...if that works without a flaw:
-it will ask to change your battery into the pandora state with a bunch of FFFFFFFFFFF's for the serial #, choose yes, then next it will ask to hold the key(s) to activate the mms with a pandora, i held L till it said completed...if you do as i did, it will operate by mms inserted, hold L, insert pandora...so:

once all done with that...pop out the battery, hold L and insert the battery, you should get the install menu, install 5.00m33-4 and once done, just download the m33-6 updater for it after. you can then go back into psp tool and change your battery back to normal with the battery options...let me know

I followed your instructions. When I start PSP Tool, all I see is a blank screen, nothing happens after that. What do I do?

damn...ok, something's definitely been flashed into your psp bad...hmm, just for the hell of it check these:

    1. main psp xmb screen, press select and make sure your iso driver is set to m33
    2. go into your recovery menu (power off, hold R and power on) check what plugins you're running...you can list what you have enabled but i most likely won't be on after this morning, flying out today for the holiday but others can help you out too. but you can try disabling certain or all plugins, reboot your psp and then try either hellcats again or even psp tool once more...

it's either your flash, in that case you will need the mms and a pandora battery to fix it or it's a plugin causing a conflict in your system...so check that stuff out, post back
