Hi, I was wondering if there is a type of CFW out there that works on a psp 1001 with FW 6.35? Do I need to buy a pandora battery to downgrade or can i do without one and a MMS?

No CFW at the moment. Just a HEN (Homebrew Enabler) which is similar but not quite. I have a guide in my signature but thats for 6.20. There is a 6.35 PRO Homebrew Enabler but I have not tested that yes, hence why its not in the guide. Hope this help.
