    Hi there,

My mate want's me to try and put custom firmware on his PSP slim 3003 pb, system software 6.20.

Is this possible? I've read various threads online and some say yes and some say no due to the motherboard.

I recently put custom firmware on my PSP 1003 by upgrading it to offical firmware 6.35 then installing 6.35 PRO-B. Could I do the same to my mates slim or will I end up bricking it?

Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

    you can install these:

6.20 TN-E:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

6.20 PRO-B5:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

6.35 PRO-B5:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

There is a "read me" included in each download to help you with the installation

    Cheers Dank.

I've checked the readme file for the 620 pro B5 and it says something along the lines that to try this at your own risk. There have been reports that it has bricked some pspgo's and 3k's.

Obviously, as this system belongs to my mate I don't want to run any sort of risk. Therefore wouldn't it be better to use the 6.35 PRO-B5? As this is what I used on my 1003 fat.

    Cheers

thats why there is a test mode for the patch you run it first and if it takes you back to the xmb you can install the patch but if it give you a black screen dont install its safe to test it bro

i mean there pretty much the same 635 and 620 but 635 you will have to run a recovery app if you ever fully shut down the psp on 635

ps please dont double post there is a edit button at the bottom of your post's

Decided to install 6.35 Pro-B and everything is good. Thanks for help/advice chaps, much appreciated.

I've made a mental note about the double posting...won't do it again.
