i had a PSP 1001 for some days too and had the same problem. I thought it was because of overheating but i don`t think that is the problem. What software you got on your PSP, maybe you just need to upgrade/downgrade it?

05-07-2011, 10:27 AM I have a psp 1001 phat with CFW. My problem is that when I play a game, doesn't matter the game the system turns of when i'm playing for a while. I'll hit a button while playing and it turns off. I thought it was the battery but I don't think so. I had bought some battery covers for it cause the battery covers on them brake easily. Please Help!

05-07-2011, 08:34 PM I am running cfw 5.00 M33-6. I also have 5.00 prometheus and also have HellCat's Recovery Flasher.
05-08-2011, 09:30 AM maybe i am wrong, but i would try to update the software to 5.50 Prome4 and if it still keep shutting down than it is a hardware problem and i would try to open the psp and clean from inside.
