Hello all, glad to be here. Now, I just have one question. I am seriously excited about hacking my PSP, which has a TA-082 mobo. But I was wondering exactly how I would do that. All the guides and tutorials seem to tell me everything EXCEPT what I'm looking for. My PSP is OFW 6.39. I have a downgrader that takes it to OFW 6.20. I was wondering what CFW I should use once I downgrade it and how to make a magic memory stick that loads this CFW. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

An MMS is not needed for this situation. All you need to do is to just install the latest cfw 6.39 ME-2.

    Go this pro's guide:http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-beg...-one-link.html

Under section V, download the 6.39 ME-2 bundle and follow the instructions there. Good luck!

Obviously the best and recommended one is the one that I provided u . It's the latest and recommended cfw. You can just install it from OFW 6.39. Unlike previous ME, you have to be on cfw inorder to be able to install.

Ok, just so I'm clear here, I can install one of those 6.20 CFWs from the OFW? Also, will I need a Pandora's battery for this? Sorry for all the questions. XD

No probs bro. Yes, u can install cfws from the ofws for the 6.20 and pandoras batt is not needed. Even if u want to downgrade to 6.20, you can use the downgrader as u mentioned above (but read the instructions/specifications and use it carefully). Otherwise, everything should be ok.

What do you mean? Where can I get 6.39 ME v2? Also, if I may ask while being at risk of acting like a n00b, what's lcfw stand for?

What he means is to tell u to use the latest full cfw and not the lcfw (which means temporary cfw) which is only for PSP 3000 and GOs. Reread the 2nd post, I posted the link to get it.
