Ok...so.. I bricked my psp.. needed a pandora battery..but was too impatient to wait for one to come in the mail so i bought a psp that was "broken" off craigslist simply for the battery.. but after turning on the psp i noticed it loaded and i could hear it navigating when i used the directional button.. but the screen is blank..its lit but nothing shows..
so i made the pandora and fixed my original psp...but got bored and swapped the screen that was blank into my working psp and it worked fine!! im assuming then that the one i just bought has some software issue
heres what ive tried:
the screen button... it changed the brightness of the black blank screen lol
i tried putting in my mms and pandora and the psp doesnt seem to read the mms (the memory card light doesnt do anything
and like i said i tried the screen in another psp and it worked..
anyone have any suggestions?
please?
oh its a psp 2001

Make sure your connections are good before proceeding with soldering.
Do you know what type of mobo you have?
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...-faq-info.html
Check there look at the TA-085 through TA-090 pics at bottom and let me know.
Proceed at your own risk.I take no responsibility if YOU fuck this up.
The fuse should have FD on it but I may be wrong.FD was on my Phat's fuse so if anybody has more info feel free to share.
im pretty sure its not the backlight...after watching like every tut online i noticed that all their screens are black...like not even on... my screen is backlit just not displaying anything..
i tried to jump the fuse and nothing happens..seems like its working..
any other suggestions?
Ok look at the LCD connector.Notice any parts near the MoBo connector where it's eroded away showing the inside of the connector.
Are the water damage stickers on the mobo triggered??, sounds like a hardware problem??, what part of the country are you in?

I can take a look at it if you want, free of charge.
