PSP firmware update

Have they made any firmware better than 5.50 Prome-4 ? I haven't looked for a few months and i want to see if there has been an update.

To be perfectly honest with you, I don't own a PSP anymore. I'm not advising you update to this because I've never tried it and can't vouch for it but the very latest CFW I'm aware of is 6.39ME v5. Besides, I'm one of the curmudgeons that thinks 5.00M33-4 was simply the best custom firmware ever released and that any game that can't be run on it isn't worth playing anyway.

at the moment I am using the unofficial release of 6.39 PRO B7 (download here) but it is only for 1ks and fully hackable 2ks which you obviously have if you're running 5.50 Prome but anyway I'm using that and I like it so far and havent found anything wrong with it but i also have 6.39 ME-5 LCFW (download here) and when you're on that site you can also go to the home page and check out the 6.39 TN-A also LCFW but I just saw it so I cant tell you much about it

I guess I what i actually want ist the best cfw to play iso and disc game's because that is what I mostly use it for.

Go for 6.39 ME-5. Don't limit urself to LCFW (limited cfw) those are mainly for 3ks and GOs. All you have to do is to just go to this site to download the cfw:

Then extract it with winrar and there should be a readme there for u to follow on how to upgrade.

Can anyone find me 639.PHP, it says I need it for the update of 6.39 ME-5

you mean 639.PBP and just go here and rename EBOOT.PBP to 639.PBP
