My first post here Hope I can get help soon

I used to create a ton hacks for older psp games like:
    Syphon Filter Logans Shadow
    Killzone: Liberation
    Ratchet and Clank Size Matters
    The Godfather
    Resistance Retribution etc.

Basiclly all earlier online games. A few years ago I stopped and now I out of college and feel like filling the void. I want to start modding/hacking for Dissidia 012 Duodecim but my firmware wont support it. I have been using my little bros psp to play.

What I REALLY need step by step help with is upgrading my CFW so it support new games and connect to PSN. I just don't know what to do because there are SOOO many ways to upgrade firmware some are good others will destroy your psp. My current firmware is 3.71M33 so if anyone can help I am indebted to you. Thanks in advance

Download 6.39 OFW here: 6.39 OFW - Downloads - Sony PSP MODS and Hacks Forums and update it.

After that, download the pro b7 cfw here: 6.39PRO-B7 - Downloads - Sony PSP MODS and Hacks Forums

Copy the proupdate folder and the CIPL flasher on to ur psp/game folder. Launch the proupdate first, then after it has finished installing, run the CIPL flashed to fully flash the cfw ok ur psp. So now, ur psp should be fully flashed witb 6.39 PRO B7. Good luck!
    MAY GOD BLESS YOU.

Well, yes. I haven't clicked those links above, but if they're in a .zip/.rar format you'll have to open them with WinRAR (or RAR Expander, for Mac). As far as installation goes; if you've created a folder before, then installation should be simple. It's merely copy/paste of folders and files into said folders.

what is your OS - 32-bit or 64-bit?

an alternative to win-zip is 7-zip.

in the extracted downloads (after using either win-rar or 7-zip), there should be a read-me file with installation instructions.

not for nothing...but the 3rd posting in this thread by bryanqx gave you both links and exactly what to do in layed out detail that couldn't be more dead on correct.

as far as your version for winrar, just grab the 32 bit, trial version and will last forever too and always work, extract the files and go back to post 3 on here

Firstly, follow what the pros said and get a winRAR or other extracting softwares depending on ur OS on ur computer.

Secondly, grab the folders that I told u earlier, and extract the 6.39 OFW first, then connect ur PSP into the computer, and place the UPDATE folder into the PSP/GAME folder. Then run the update from the xmb (Main menu of the PSP).

Thirdly, after it's on 6.39 connect ur PSP back into the computer again and copy the PROUPDATE and the CIPLFLASHER onto ur PSP/GAME folder. Run the PROUPDATE first to get to PRO B7. After u run that, go ahead and run the CIPLFLASHER, install it to fully flash the cfw into ur psp. And you are done!
    MAY GOD BLESS YOU.

Ok cool I have extracted the files and I am ready to Install. My only other question is do I do anything with the SDk or Fastrecovery folders?

Yay!!!!! I have the new CFW. I really can't thanks you guys enough.

Now should I change my cheat device, I was using Nitepr but it doesn't work now. Can I get a link to a better Cheat Device fit for my CFW?

I hate asking so much but all of you were able to help me with this and I have been on other sites and they gave me NO help whatsoever. This is the best psp hacking site I have ever been to

CW Cheat. Although, NitePR should still work... Go to your Recovery Menu to make sure it's still enabled.

Sorry that i wasn't able to reply to ur message as I had trouble logging in. Just to let u know, the sdk folder is for the developers so there's no need touch it and the fastrecovery is for the unhackable 2000, 3000 and go that are unable to fully flash this cfw on their psp and they need this folder to recover the cfw when their psp happens to shut down but since u have fully flashed it, then that is not needed!

    Finally, enjoy ur cfw.
    MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
