    Hi guys,

Hate to open a profile just for that, but seriously there's too many variables here and I simply don't know where to go. I want to make the most of that console, but I don't want to do something wrong right in the beginning. Should I update it? And where next? Can you help me with this specific model?

    thanks!

Update to 6.39:6.39 OFW - Downloads - Sony PSP MODS and Hacks Forums
after thats done, download and install this:6.39LME-9.3 - Downloads - Sony PSP MODS and Hacks Forums

Your going to place the "installer" and "launcher" folders into your "GAME" folder which is in the "PSP" folder on your memory stick. Run the "installer" first and follow on-screen prompts and once thats done you will then run the "launcher". The "launcher" will put you on 6.39LME-9.3 which is "Lite"CFW. You will have to run the "launcher" every time you boot up your PSP to re-activate the LCFW

Once its done, set up your VSH menu this way:

    CPU CLOCK XMB-222
    CPU CLOCK GAME-300
    USB DEVICE-Memory Stick
UMD ISO MODE-ME Driver or Sony NP9660

^^^to do that...on the main psp screen (xmb as it's called) press the select button and you'll get what's called the vsh menu and then you can set it up as El has described above

I have the same unit and was following these instructions. Update gets to 99% and then drops back to 84%. It's done this around 5 times now. Any ideas on how to stop the process without bricking the PSP?
