I just want to know if .ptf themes can brick a PSP 3001. I read somewhere that it flashes flash0 or something.

if you're using ptf themes(cxmb), i'm pretty much sure you're only using a plugin called cxmb. it doesn't involve flashing your psp or what. just a plugin. so no.

CXMB themes are labeled as .CTF themes. Every theme temporarily writes to flash0; .CTF, .PTF, etc. In the old days, one had to replace individual files with custom files in flash0 if they wanted a custom theme. You had to know what you were doing back then. There's always a slim chance of a brick; but it probably won't happen.
