Psp help please

Hi there im new to the forum so HELLO for start
Now i have a phat 1003 psp i have upgraded to 5.03 so i can modd it to play just of memory stick so i have followed loads of the chick hen tuts all same opened in pictures eggsploit it pauses then goes of i turn on after 2-5 mins i gointo sytem version and its not installed ???? PLEASE HELP ME PLZ i have a pandora batt if i can do it old skool way and a 4 gig sony duo card THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME ...
