PSP Modding Questions

Hi,

I recently joined and am new to the PSP. I have the following questions to ask:
How do you hack a PSP 3000 with 6.60 firmware ?
What is ISO and CSO?
What is CFW?
What is the best memory size to get for a hacked PSP?

you can just use the Light Custom Firmware for your psp..
ISOs and CSOs are the file extension of a game that has been ripped from a UMD disc..
CFW are used for you to be able to play those ISOs and CSOs, w/o CFW or LCFW you can't play ISOs..

And its in your decision on what size of Memory Stick you would use, at least 1gb will be enough for the files that are needed to apply LCFW on your psp..

but for the game, i think you might wanna have at least 4 or 8gb. in my case i'am using 16gb.

L means LIGHT.. using this Light Custom Firmware won't brick your PSP 3000.. in the other hand, if you accidentally used the CFW instead of LCFW your PSP will be bricked..

and there's no way on fixing it, you'll need to change the motherboard (HARDWARE)

Your choice is to Update to 6.60 LightME 1.8 or PRO-b10

One question
i hacked my psp on 6.60 firmware and downloaded two ISO PSP games and put them on the PSP but it wont show up in the games section do i need a different program?

Hint: Some folks don't like the 'd********' word when it comes to psp games. You won't get much help throwing that bomb around.

he means some don't like you saying you downloaded them, from now on they shall be known as "backups"

anyway make sure you put the back ups in a folder named "ISO" without the "" on the root of the memory stick.

1:ISO and CSO are file formats for PSP games ,like "Tekken6.CSO" . Just like file formats jpg for pics , exe for softwares e.t.c
2: CFW is a modification to the operating system of your PSP "Official firmware". CFW allows you to play downloaded ISO and CSO games which you cant play on "OFW"
3: 4GB card will be a good choice.
