psp modded but buttons are well weird

ok here is whats happening i have had my psp modded for a month changed it too 5.50 prometheus 4 for 2 weeks because gen d3 would not play persona 3 and recently i have been using my psp to listen to music and use bookr, then my psp buttons start acting up. here is what hapens: x=nothing o=nothing triangle=nothing square= nothing bumper=nothing and the bottom keys act weird too if i press select my psp seems to go into sleep mode with the green light on if i press the vol up button it raises it but it dosent stop. vol up exact same thing it goes up. then the rest do nothing. i used pandora to fix it, nothing. gave ofw it fixed all but the bottom buttons. i am tired and really pi**ed so any help would be usefull. if you guys need a vid i can set u up but for now good buy.

It could be your "HOME" "SELECT" "START" strip of buttons

i honestly think it has to be something with the software

i just pluged in my psp remote thingy and now im 100% sure its software becausxe its doing the same thing

You can update to a newer CFW to see if that cures the problem. Since your on 5.50, your going to need to do the GEN bypass. Follow this guide:http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-fir...made-easy.html, scroll down to Section 6 and find the GEN BYPASS and follow directions on how to perform that.

Once your updated to 6.60, use this:6.60ME-1.8 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP Forum, Hack PSP, PSV Hacks, PS Vita Hack, PSVita to install the latest CFW

just tried it but now my psp is back to no buttons working at all

Honestly, it sounds like a hardware issue. When the strip of buttons("HOME" "SELECT" "START") goes bad, it will create problems like what you describe. I cant guarantee thats the problem but it might be worth looking into.
