    Hello,

I am tryng to upgrade my psp 3003 OFC but I kinda might nuked my battery while ago so this baby runs on AC power only.

So, question is that can I somehow bypass that full battery requierment when i try to upgrade original firmware?

    Info:
Battery - dead, without AC plguued in it wont start up and when battery is in and I connect AC it goes completely dark in minute or 2, menaing no reaction and no lights. but runs ok with only AC plugged in and battery out.
Current firmware - 5.55 OFW, have not upgraded before nor i have done any hacking or tweaking.
    Release date - 8C
My skills on tweaking PSP - near 0 but i learn fast.

New battery is out of question for some time,
I would apriciate it if some1 can help me or push me in right direction. been googeling around this problem for days and this L + triangle thing dont work on me.

    Sincerely,
    Eibon

Do you have the "Update" on your memory stick?, your going to need the "Update" on your memory stick for the battery bypass to work. Download the latest Sony firmware here:6.60 OFW - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP / PS Vita Forums, now go to your "GAME" folder on your memory stick and create a new folder inside the "GAME" folder and name it "UPDATE".

Place the EBOOT from the link I provided into the "UPDATE" folder you created and then go to your XMB. What you want to do is find the 6.60 Update on your memory stick and before you press X, press and hold the Left Trigger and Triangle. While still holding the Left Trigger and Triangle, start the update by pressing X. When it says press X to install, you can now stop holding the trigger and triangle and continue with the update

First of all Thank you El Guapo for your reply.

Im doing something wrong or it doesnt work for me.

Heres step by step what i did.
    1) placed eboot file into G:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE
    2) went to XMB - game - memory stick
3)hoover over update 6.60 file and press L + triangle (confirmed that left trigger and triangle button work just fine) also when i press L + triangle then pressing triangle opens tha tlittle information sidebar.
    4) while holding L + triangle i press X, PSP logo pops up, screen goes black for a brief moment.
5)still holding L + triangle, screen says "psp system software update 6.60" option is start and i press X, next pop up user agreement where i press right arrow for next page and there i can accept(still holding L+triangle)
    6) next page says "Do not turn off power, disconnect the AC adaptor bla bla bla bla, you cannot go back to the previous version of the system software. press the X button to start"
Now at this point i have tried releasing L+triangle before i press X and it says that battery lvl is low BS. I have also kept holding L+triangle and press X and still the low battery BS and just cannot continue. Also tryed releasing at "psp system software update 6.60" screen(the first screen u get when u go into update) and still nothing

Am i doing something wrong or this this combination dont work for me?
