Help! converting my psx disc into iso!

i inserted my mgs and ran alchohol120% and turned it to an iso. i then used my psxgui to convert it into an eboot and keys.bin. i went to my xmb and i saw my mgs icon and background, but when i press x on it, it says the game is corrupt. i kno the problem is not my psxgui cuz it works perfectly, i think it might be alcohol120%. anybody has some pointers on what i should do, what program u use to convert discs into iso, or how do u create ur psx iso's?

nah it didnt work. i tried your methos but it said that the data is corrupt. oh well i guess ill just download it from the net (i own the game) so its not piracy.

(okay i own the game! so dont say i commited an illegal action!) i downloaded it since i couldnt make my iso work and there are three files mgs.img, mgs.cdd, and mgs.sub.
apperently my psxgui does turn the img file into an eboot. so i created it and put it on my psp and i see my icon and background, but it says game data is corrupted. im thinking its because of the other two diles .sub, and .cdd. what should i do or am i suppose to like fuse all three files and turn it into an iso???someone please help!

i think it is to do with your plugins (if you have any) - try disabling them in your recovery console

it could also be your theme as well

strange, there is a slight chance you didnt use alcohol right, i turn my psx games into mdf and or img's, and there is a possibility that your game when you converted it was to scratched or something is wrong with the disk, i use alcohol and i use popstation

its weird cuz my ff7 works, but it was an iso format. on the img format there is two files next to it one with an extension of .sub, and the other with an extension of .cdd... i have used two programs already to turn my cd into an iso and they work, so i create the eboot and put on my memory card and i see the game icon and everything but it says gamedata is corrupted.

edit: What programs are ya usin to create the iso?

try and use magic iso to get a bin file and cue file. i had the same problem with iso's.

i have winiso, winimage, and alcohol 120%... can u send me a link to magic iso and tell me how to use it(like how to create bin?)

just google search magic iso. its as easy as pushing one button for use. just select save image to hdd. then it does it and gives you the .bin and .cue. use psgui with the .cue and there you go

i put the .img file in magic iso and now i dont kno what to do.. i click on save and it says iso or uif, bo bin or cue....plus am i supposed to extract the .img file first?
