I was just curios,is someone here actually finished playing any PSX multidisc games without having any problems, like glitches,no sound or saved game ruined?? especially with final fantasy games?? cos what's the use playing it if in the end your game with get ruined anyway! most of the threads ive read always saying, they got problem here, the game wont start,or the game just hung in the middle of the battle... so im asking is it really worth it???

I've got Final Fantasy's 7-8-9 and all the disc's work.

So if you got a good copy of the game then yeah, no problems.

I finished FF8 a long time ago, but I'm not sure if it's the same disc I used before.

But I made it all the way through.

    But others, no not yet.

Other then FF8 before i never saw a point in beating them on a psp when i can play them on a tv screen 30 times bigger

I love playing Breath of Fire IV on my PSP. When I beat it, I'm going to tackle final fantasy Tactics!

I played through all of FF9 on my PSP and never ran into any emulation related trouble. Disc switching worked flawlessly and the only slowdown I encountered was caused by forcing the CPU clock to 222 MHz with cwcheat. Once I bumped it up to 266, it was perfect. The Pops version I used was either 3.71 or 3.80.

I tried to go through FF7 again on my PSP, but I beat it so many times on my old PS1 that I just couldn't be bothered with it again. So right now I'm playing Grandia. I haven't reached the second disc just yet, but I have encountered some problematic FMV sequences. They all work fine under 3.71 as far as I can tell, but under 4.01 (which I like to use because of the control customization feature) they occasionally freeze the game. The FMV that plays during startup will invariably freeze under 4.01, but it can be skipped, so that's not a problem.

    Totally worth it.

I've finished FF7 with no problems, Metal Gear Solid with no problems, Parasite Eve I & II with no problems. All multi-disc games.

I don't have a tv in my room and I like to game a bit before i sleep, so instead of reading a book as some people do, i play with my psp, and thanks to psptube I can also watch porn.

The analog is much easier to move with!

If you can get them to work right it's great...you just need to try different settings and what not

Well I have played and made eboots for many multi-disc games and have completed them without any hitches nor problems. Just check out Cheema's tutorial and hopefully, if you do everything correctly then you should be alright. Just make sure, and I know you got this alot, that you have clean versions of the games that you are ripping. Have fun and happing gaming.

i have played through FF7,8 and up to the 3rd disc of 9... I have come across the odd problem but have always been able to fix it through some simple troubleshooting (usually by creating a new eboot using a stable game ID or loading a different pops.. also if you have the PAL version it is important to apply a PPF patch to ur disc image before converting to eboot)

FF7, 8 and 9 should work fine if you follow the guidance of people that have played them through and 'emulate' the steps they took in creating their eboot files.. Although FF8 may be at some points problematic, it is possible to have these games running at an enjoyable pace on the PSP

So yes it is worth it!!
having these games portable is something i have been craving for a very long time
