Alright as of right now I'm running 5.00 M33-4 FW and I'm trying to play some PSX games.

I've used the POPstation GUI to convert a couple of games like Suikoden I & II and Tales of Destiny. I downloaded popsloader for 5.00 and it came with all of the extra firmware files to save me a huge amount of time.

I've followed the Popsloader guide on this site all the way through and have enabled the plugin.

However, when I attempt to start any game not only do I not get the choice of what firmware to run the game off of, I receive this message:

"The game could not be started. (80010002)"

    Any ideas?

Where are you putting the games on your memory stick?

    They should go under PSP/GAME/NAME_OF_GAME/EBOOT.PBP

So for example suikoden II might be under PSP/GAME/Suikoden II/EBOOT.PBP

Great game by the way, one of my all time favourites.

Well this might be my problem, I have made specific folders of each of my games. However I've been putting them all in the GAME5XX folder instead of my generic GAME folder.

    Would that cause the issue?

Possibly, give it a try. I know i put all mine in just GAME and PSX games run fine.

Alright, I have another issue now. The games have been running pretty well as long as I choose the 'Run from original flash" option. But when I try to choose a specific FW option it just freezes up on me.......what could I be doing wrong?

You probably don't have all the actual PRX files needed.

Open your posploader folder and tell me what .prx files you see. There should be a total of 55 .prx files if you have every pops up to 4.01 on there.

You seem to be missing impose.prx from 4.01 for one, and i'm pretty sure that's a key file to it all working. If i were you i'd download this fresh, full working version here and give that a whirl:

    http://www.pspmod.com/forums/sony-ps...ion-setup.html (easy popsloader installation setup)

Thanks to ƒR()§†H@X for that. That version definitely contains everything you'll need for it to work on 5.00 M33-4.

Killer man you are awesome, I've had 5 questions in the last three days and you've answered every single one of them.

However now I have a sixth one, I've downloaded the folder and transferred the seplugin folder to the MMS.

But now when I start FF7 it gives me the message: "The game could not be started (80000004)"

    Any other ideas?

EDIT: Only a few of the FW's caused that message, the others just froze the PSP. However FW 3.72 has FF7 running well so far, but I'm only about an hour in.
