    Thanks

I'm confused. I don't use POPSLOADER and I am on CFW 5.00 M33-6 and so far I have been able to run every PSONE game I've put on my MS w/o a single issue.

Is POPSLOADER even necessary to play PSONE games?

No. Your PSP has 'pops', the PS1 emulator built into it since FW 3.00. However, with each new firmware, they made a few changes to pops, and therefore some games don't work on certain pops. Thats where pops 'loader' comes in. It will allow you to use a different pops to the one built into your current firmware. Most games will run fine on 5.00 FW, but a lot won't and so will require a different pops.

ok... so eventually i will run into a game that WON'T run and I'll have to use POPSLOADER then. Got it!

Good thing I have the plug-in already. I just don't have it enabled currently, since I haven't had a use for it yet.

Thanx for answering my question killer.

FYI, my first stint into CFW was w/ 5.00 so I'm pretty much a NEWB... LOL
