Can anyone tell me what pops to use. I have tried a few different ones but the game seems to freeze on me. I am running 5.00 m33-6. Any help would be appreciated.

PSX on PSP Compatibility List - TheGamersPress

    That might help.

I also, am trying to get Chrono Cross to work on my PSP, same version: 5.00 m33-6. I am using a 2 disc set from KloWn conversions. With popsloader set to default from game, it freezes after I beat Mother Komodo on the beach. I went backwards through popsloader, trying each earlier version to run the game. No other one starts the game [No boot-up OR Logo]. ALL of them do not even start the game unless it is "Default from game".

I have a PSP-2000, The First Slim one. The history I guess is from buying the psp to 4.01 m33, then I updated it to 5.00 m33, then m33-6. I am running no add ons, no plug ins. Just the firmware with the popsloader from D.A.

Strangely enough, same problem with Xenogears and Parasite Eve 1. The 3 games I wish to work the most.

Xenogears freezes after the first shatter when it loads default. No other version loads it.

Parasite Eve 1 doesnt even start at all. Even starting on the second Disk.

I used the website previously mentioned in this post as a reference and tried everything they said. No dice in ANY game.

Any suggestions? I would much appreciate someone elses input over my continued frustration.

Downgrade? That doesnt seem like a wise option. Many of the bugfixes of the earlier versions are intergral to play some of the games, such as the Memory Card slowdown issue. Without that fix many compressed games for PSP no longer work.

Cycling backwards through the pops, this method has not worked for me [Tried 3.00 to 4.01]

I have changed the game Id to Syphon Filter 3 [SCUS 94640] and am trying the default pops to play it. [3.40, 3.51, 3.80 all do not load].

If komodo freezes again, then...... ARGH.

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html
