I gotta be jinxed, I've tried 4 times and I can't get Final Fantasy IX to work on psp. Twice I came close, i actually managed to get them **on** it, tho they were unplayable, the other two times i couldn't get it into eboot format. And these last two tries are really driving me up a wall: I used impaler because everyone seems to recommend it, and all it does is freeze up after I've got it in the coverting process. So does anyone know a full proof method for converting Final Fantasy IX to eboot? Here are the methods I've used overall:
Alcohol 120% on my FFIX discs--Ice Tea--Game won't go past warning screen --this could've been because of missing popsloader? not the right firmware?
FFIX discs isos--popstation gui--corrupt game file
FFIX discs isos--Impaler--impaler freeze
Isos from online (yeah, i caved in sue me)--Impaler--impaler freezes
I was also wondering, I bought FFVII on PSN, and didn't realise it was such a big file, double what they say on site much more than a 2 mb mem stick can hold (which sucks cause i just bought it). I found online some information saying there's a way with a program like media manager that can condense a files size (in this case, ff7) so that it takes up less memory to where its sent. Does anyone know anything about that? And one last question, since i didn't realise that sony only wanted people with 5.50 firm to play ff7., would 5.00 m33-6 firmware work to do that fooling with the version.txt and all thing? Cause I didn't see the same hold-r trigger system menu, I saw the flash 0 but there wasn't any version.txt that I could see.
I'd really appreciate the help...Even if it's for one of these ff games it would be a big help. i bought my system basically just to play these things...thanks.

OK, just to make sure I got this right tho. Are you referring to FFVII PSN because I can't tell. I forget if that's an ISO or not...And if I you are, and I followed what you said, would that screw up the game (the FFVII) in other ways, cause I'd rather have it working 100% you know like a legit copy. Thanks.
u will not screw up the game if u thing u will screw up the game just make a copy just in case something goes wrong with the game
OK, but which game are we talking about here?
FFVII im talking about and just a moment ago i tried the converter program and i almost crashed my pc so i can forget that plan and if i give u the program i will be my falt that ur pc crashed so ull have to put the iso in the iso folder and about the other FF u r surpose to turn it into a eboot not a iso
Damn. OK, well thanks for trying.
ok thanks i tried to help
Alright I fixed an old issue but I got a new one...I managed to get a working eboot of FFIX but when I load the game on the PSP it's starts off on disc 4. There doesn't seem to be a way to change discs (obviously I want disc one). As far as I know I used popstation right (that's what I used)...Do I need popsoloader or something, does that do more than change firmware?? I'm lost...
if its a multidisc eboot press home and you should be able to change discs

I have found most PSONE games to be a nightmare
well if you do not see an option to change discs when you press home then that is just an eboot of the 4th disc

Damnit. I guess I screwed it up then...I guess i assumed popstation was multidisc eboot converter...but if its not where the hell did the other eboots go for the other discs ?? There's gotta be more than that one (the one i put on psp)...or how else would you get all 4 discs?? Man this shit is making making my brain hurt...
