I'm having a problem in Mega Man Legends 2 where if I try to leave Elysium the screen will go blank and after about 10 seconds my psp will just turn off.

I decided I might as well use this post to not only get help but also suggest a sticky for a general troubleshoot guide for this kind of problem because I know it's annoying to have a new thread pop up every time someone runs into something like this.

    About my problem
    PSP 2000 mobo 2 CFW 5.50GenD

First I checked to see if it was a common problem of the game or if I could remedy it by saving in a different spot etc. No go.

My eboot was converted from a bin I downloaded, so I tried a different eboot (same game but downloaded from somewhere else, different size than mine) and the problem persists so I know it must be an incompatibility between my current version of Popsloader and this game (right?). It seems the next step would be to try using a different version of Pops but the methods I've seen on that seem to be deprecated. Any suggestions?

Seems like that's an unlikely solution because two different rips from different places both give me the same problem. I'd love to do that, it's an awesome game but used copies run around $50 and I highly doubt there aren't any other shorter-term solutions.

I think I made it very clear that I'm looking for a different solution than that so anyone who doesn't have social issues and actually DOES use CFW I'm open to suggestions here.

Sorry, I assumed the info under your avatar that says "Firmware Installed: 6.20 OFW " to be correct.

Ok, so is this one of those forums where people are too scared to talk about the existence of ROM trading? If it's just a problem you have please step out I think it's clear you're not helping me and others are less likely to help if they see this is a long thread.

we're not scared of it, we just dont talk about piracy because
    1: its illegal
2: it can bring the site under investigation
    3: why should we?

    RULES

    EDIT:also OFW 6.20 is correct.
