I've had a Megadrive/genisis emulator for years on my pcs but most of the ROMs are in a .smd format, how can i convert them to play in picodrive or other emulators which need an .iso format?

EDIT: forgot to say hi, noob here, just waiting for my pandora to arive before hacking my psp and just researching a few things

if it requires an iso, then i beg to differ, the game COMES from an cd. like you know, sonic cd. now, google for a converter since noone here knows about this kind of technical stuff.

The files in the picodrive should be in BIN format, as for the .smd format, not sure what emulator on the psp that will run on, I use alot of emulators myself and I have em for genesis, game gear, sega master system. Theres a saturn one also but does not work on phats....your only choice is converting like sexy said, cause thats all the sega emulators and none of those run .smd....on the psp

No need to convert them to ISO dude because they don't require it. You must have confused yourself with the Sega CD instruction for picodrive. Just place them in the roms folder and Picodrive should detect them. Also I'd like to point out that smd stands for Sega's Mega Drive.

I found a converter to convert between .smd and .bin, finding one to do .bin to .iso shouldn't be a problem

EDIT: Just read the posts properly, so can i run .bin in picodrive?

yea stick em in your "Roms" folder, if you dont have one make one, should be with the emulator files, then run it from your psp...your all good.....thats how mine are setup and they play just fine...
