Hi, running 5.50 Gen D4 on a psp 1k, do i need any emulation to play it on the psp? Also, can marvel vs capcom 2: clash of the super heroes (PS2) be played on psp with emulation as well? If so, which emulator should i use?

You should have no real issue playing marvel vs capcom, I have personally never used the mame emulation on psp but I have heard that it runs cps2 emulation alrite. You should, by that token, also be able to run marvel super heroes vs street fighter and xmen vs street fighter (I believe these are also psx games, but I hear that the arcade versions are better)

Marvel vs Capcom 2 was not released as a cps2 game or cps3 for that matter. Therefore I highly doubt its emulation through mame. The version of it for PS2, xbox, gamecube etc is obviously unobtainable aswell on psp.

Totally true, NAOMI Arcade System was what got this beast running.

    To the OP:

There's a CPS2 emulator for the psp called CPS2PSP. I use it almost every other day and I play:

Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
    Marvel Super Heroes
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
    X-Men vs. Street Fighter
    X-Men: Children of the Atom

Marvel super heroes vs street fighter is my personal favourite. I have it in an arcade machine in my loungeroom, I should play it more often.

It would be exciting. I have MvC2 in an arcade cabinet (but it is the xbox version, not actual arcade). Still goes alrite but.

You should just buy a shit second hand cabinet (make sure it has 6 buttons and is two player) and then you can put in whatever games you want. It is not difficult to build your own. I have 5 arcades, all that I fixed up, one I found on the side of the road!

If you get a cabinet I could give you some advice on how to do it. But if you have your heart set on a MvC2 dedicated machine, then go for it. The only dedicated machine I have is NBA jam, 4 player.

    haha... eboot."php"

So at least it is clear that you have no idea what you are doing. First of all, your eboot will obviously not work in the CPS2 emulator as it is a psx disc image.

I'm assuming, that you are so silly that you ripped the eboot from your own copy of marvel vs capcom and want to know how to play it. And got all confused using big words like emulator.

Search around for something called popsloader, install that (you'll want a package that is made for your cfw). Then look around for how to load psx games on your psp. You have to put your eboot inside the game folder, inside another folder called marvel vs capcom (really you can name this folder anything, as the psp reads the game through the eboot not folder)... At least that is how it was done when I was doing all this stuff.

Shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out

Something is wrong with you, why are you using an mms? if your psp is already hacked then you no longer need it... And what do you expect to get from a shitty internet download?

If other stuff is running on your memory stick then your memory stick is fine. Try and stick away from piracy, for one thing it will get you banned from this site as it is anti-piracy. Which you would know if you read the rules! I tried to cover you by saying 'I'm sure you ripped it from your own disc' but you obviously missed that BIG hint about piracy.. Obviously you didn't rip it from your own disc coz you were contemplating using it with an arcade emulator, when it is a psx game that you have!

Do this. Get an actual image of the game, ISO, BIN, rip it from your game disc. Then look up how to convert that to eboot, there are plenty of guides. Google search RSgui v3.0 (it is the program I used the most).. Make sure first that you ISO works, you can use epsxe or any psx emulator for the pc if you want. Then convert it to eboot and put it in the game folder inside its own folder (I am now repeating myself)

If your memory stick (not magic memory stick, actual memory stick) is not working, then format it on your psp! you will lose everything you had on it, so make sure you back that stuff up.

You really do not need anymore information. You can spoon feed yourself the rest of the way.
