Arc the Lad II and Suikoden II

Hello fellow gamers.
edit----It is mostly MD games that are not working for some reason (chrono-cross being an exception, as well as suikoden not working although being one disk)----

I have managed to get Arc the Lad 1 and some other PSX games onto my Australian first-generation PSP (popstationMD compression 9).

But everytime I try to get Suikoden 1 or 2 and Arc the Lad 2 working, it doesn't even get to the PSX logo, just a black screen. I have multiple isos of each game as well as imported cd's.

I have popsloader, but am not sure which setting to use it on for each of the games (is this the problem?).

I am on 6.60 PRO B10 fix (I can change this if needs be). I will also have a pandora battery soon.

On my mem stick I have a games folder with pbp files, as well as an seplugins folder containing popsloader, that's all. I formatted my mem stick and got some games working, but really want Arc the Lad II.

Any advice you guys can give me, anything to look at trying?

PS. Is it possible to get refurbished/custom skin/built 1st/2nd gen PSP's anywhere online?

EDIT: I just got my pandora battery, is it good to use it in your psp permanently (extended battery life) or should you only use it to restore your system?
