3.03 Downgrade Tutorial

DISCLIAMER:This DOWNGRADE FLASHES YOUR PSP, SO THERE IS A CHANCE OF BRICKING, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE, MOTHERBOARD DOESNT MATTER, IF YOU HAVE A 2.81-3.03 firmware on psp, upgrade to 3.03

303 HEN Noobz Downgrader Guide

Here is a guide for downgrading any current PSP hardware version
(TA-079 - TA-086) from firmware 2.81-3.03 to 1.50.

Requirements
In order to downgrade a 3.03 PSP you will need the following:
*Original GTA LCS (any region), which should have the 2.00 update on the disc.

*you can reconize the unpatched gta lcs its written on the umd disc

code for unpatched usa version:
ULUS 10041
the patched version:
UPDL-010050A1 UPDL-010050B1
UPDL-011050A1 UPDL-011050B1
unpatched eur version :
ULES-00151#
patched version: ULES-00151#2
(tip from lommer)

*a 3.03 PSP
*If you have a 2.81-3.02 psp, create an UPDATE folder in the GAME folder, download the 3.03 Update Eboot and rename it to EBOOT.PBP and place it in the UPDATE folder you created in the GAME folder, run UPDATE psp, after update delete the UPDATE folder

*3.03 Downgrader Package
*1.5 Update Eboot
*3.03 HEN (Homebrew Enabler)

Instructions

Step 1) Setting up the files needed
*Download 3.03 Downgrader Package and copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.03 downgrader ZIP to the memory stick

*Download 3.03 HEN (Homebrew Enabler) and copy the contents of the MS_ROOT folder to the root of your memorystick

*Download 1.5 Update Eboot and rename the EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!

Step 2) Loading up HEN (Homebrew enabler)
*Load GTA LCS

*It should get to loading savegame, then the screen will clear to blackand fill with a light blue colour, then the PSP will reset itself (if this does not happen KEEP TRYING)

*Check that HEN is running by going to system settings, then to "System Information" and it should show up as system version 303 HEN

Step 3) Downgrading
*If it is showing up as HEN then go to the memory stick and run the x.yz update

*If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed without patching, if your motherboard requires it.

*Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask for you to agree to what it is doing, if you no longer want to continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).

*If you agree plug in your psp to the charger

*Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, and reset itself

*If it comes up saying that the settings are corrupt, press x to continue, this will mean you will need to re-enter the settings for network connections into your PSP

*IF it doesnt show up as the settings corrupt, Load the included NetConfigBackup application in your PSP, and select to restore, this will take the backup that was done of the network config that was done automatically during the downgrade.

*You should now have a 1.5 psp (enjoy)

I Downgraded to 1.5 now what?
*I'D reccommend upgrading to 3.03 OE-C

hay so over here should i delet the old psp file and put the other one in???

just copy it over, no need to delete your old PSP folder, i dont do msn, so ill help you as much as i can on pspmod, just ask if you have any questions

huh yea, actually back up your psp folder just incase, copy and paste it onto your computer,

then do it, i said that because it mght delete all your files

read a little more in my psp there are instructions for 2.81-3.02 psps

i know this is the wrong thread but nobody respons too mine
ps could you help me with my downgrade becasue if you look at my other threads when ever i go to run HEDN it doesnt work no matter how many times i do it

EDIT: how much are the unpatched ones becasue i might upgrade and then downgrade that way
also i dont know anything abotu this downgrade stuff but will you beable to play ISOs on the 3.03 downgrader

both, HEND is a bitch, i took me a good 45 mins to get it to work,
