I upgraded because:

1.Semi bricked psp trying to get themes on with TM
2.Want to run IrShell on 3.40 but was buggy, turns out just as buggy on 3.52
3.If your just running 3.40 without using popsloader 3.11 plug, psx glitches. But in 3.52 I have yet to have any ff7 glitches, I have Ultimate Black Psp Theme on 3.52 also.

So i guess an upgrade for you may not be needed, but you might aswell upgrade soon, games will req 3.51+ in no time im sure.

Default Universal PSP M33 Installation

hey you guys i'm using fw 3.52 M33 right now. I was just wondering if i were to use the calo's easy recovery tool to flash my psp back to 1.50. Do you guys think it's possible? Will i brick my psp doing that? Cuz when i was using fw 3.40OE i sometimes use that recovery tool to flash my psp back to 1.50 and flash it back up to 3.40OE. But since these new version of fw just came out i don't know if you can still be able to use that easy recovery tool. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Lol, i already know how to do that. What i need is someone to confirm if the recovery tool can flash back to fw 1.50 eventhough you on the new fw 3.52 M33 that's all. I guess if you gave me that link which means it would work then. Thanks man

1.Google.com 1.5 eboot from sony, download it. (eboot.pbp)
2.Extract file to your psp/game folder in a new folder named "recovery"
3.Hold down power on psp to shutdown, then turn on while holding R trigger
4.Select Run Program at /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp
5.Follow onscreen instructions and hit X to proceed to install a fresh copy of
1.5 FW

I had to do this once when i semi-bricked. Hope this helps you.

Is it possible to go from M33 back to 3.40 OE if needed? Just curious

Yes,

Download the 3.40 oe-a flasher and copy the contents of the 340oeflasher folder to PSP/GAME/RECOVERY. (There should be 2 files. eboot.pbp and DATA.DXAR)

Go into recovery mode and execute the recovery from the option listed..

I did exactly this last week, though had you searched you would already know this!
