Default Universal PSP M33 Installation

Can I upgrade from m33 to m33v4? Because I tried and it didn't work. It said the game could not be found? Where am I supposed to be putting the update files on my PSP? I also still have a ton of other files from going from 1.5 > 3.52M33 that may be causing a conflict but I'm not sure which files are safe to delete and which I need to keep.

AH! , my bad...try going from m33 to m33-3, then maybe from m33-3 to m33-4

the possibilities are endless...but ultimately everytime i upgrade to a higher firmware i reformat my MS anyways, gives me a better piece of mind

Firmware Installed: 3.52-4 M33

Default Universal PSP M33 Installation

How do we know if we have successfully upgraded to 3.52-3 or 3.52-4? I mean, under system information, what am I supposed to see to know that I have successfully updated to release 4 of 3.52?

And after upgrading, what folders/directories can we delete to cleanup and/or conserve space?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thx in advance

Question about the Easy Installer:

In the readme.txt it says to connect your PSP via USB to your PC.
Do you really need to do this, or can I use my USB memory card reader and extract the files that way?

Anyone done it the way I am proposing? I don't wanna brick my PSP...thanks.

just use the usb coz the easy installer exe will do the extracting for you so that the files will go to the right path inside your memstick....

Another question...so I used the Easy Updater extractor (Automatic Install), and put the files on my psp. I am on version 1.50. When I go to load up the M33 files it put there, I have 3 files:

1. KXploit Permanent Patcher
2. 3.52 M33UPDATE
3. Corrupt Data

Is this normal? What has gone wrong, if anything? Thanks.

EDIT: Update worked, even with the "Corrupt Data" there.

(I am upgrading from the first version of 3.52 M33)
Does this mean I simply extract the included "PSP" and "seplugins" folders to the "GAME150" folder on my memory stick?

Or does the "M33Update4" (and "seplugins"?) folder go inside the "GAME150" folder on my memory stick?

Thanks, and sorry for the double post. I'm just eager to get my PSP up to date.

Begginer,

In System Information all it says is 3.52 M33. How do I know if it is Update 4 or the vanilla version of 3.52 M33 as I had used the installer and then did the manual update to 4?

Thx in advance again.
