3.40oe-3.90m33 Custom Firmware Installation Guide. VERY NOOB friendly
Sorry to double post, but Im not sure anyone still online is aware that Im still having issues if I just keep editing my post as its not bumping it... Ive run this twice now and System Settings still says Im still on 3.40oe-a. Im putting the relevant 150/325.pbps & the M33 updater in GAME150, its running fine, says "Press X to Exit", and then nothing. It just loads up the same as before. Whats going on? |

Anyways, after step 1 in this process, there is no mention of pasting the kxploit folders to the memory stick. Ive pasted them into GAME150 and rather than M33 Upgrade it says Kxploit Permanent Patcher. Have I put this in the right place? | i went from 3.52 M33-4 then upgraded to 3.71 M33

if you are on oe, run the creator first.. it will generate a file.
you then have to execute that file
once the file is executed, the actual update will take place.
if you just run the creator without executing anything, all you have done was create the necessary files for the update part. |

Isn't the guide missing a few steps? As I recall, when installing 3.52 M33, after you run M33 creator, it will just create the update file. It doesn't write anything to your flash yet. You have to run the created update file to actually install 3.52 M33 to flash.

I have thought about a guide for a slim, but because you need a pandora battery, pretty much everything revolves around that... perhaps a dumb-ass proof pandora battery guide... got my hours cut at work, took next semester off... i got three months with nothing to do. |

hey just wondering, i am up to the stage where i "2. On your PSP, go to the GAME menu, click MEMORY STICK and select 3.52M33 CREATOR." it says loading 1.5 firmware ok
write 1.5 firemware ok
loading 3.52 firmware ok
writing firmware 3.52....
it sits on that screen for a VERY (30mins) long time.
the orange load light next to the wireless button is blinking madly still. should i just wait for a longer time? or is something wrong?
thanks |

ok.. on the part for 3.71 M33-2 I put the update folder in the Game folder, then renamed the EBOOT.PBP to 150.PBP(the official eboot) and put it in the root of me mem stick, when i go to update it, it says "The system software of your PSP System is 3.71. There is no need to update." is that suppose to happen? |
