I'm having major problems.

I have the PSP 1001 5.03 OFW (I also have a 2000 and 3000 but both are patched to the most current so my Phat is the only option).

I've done everything in the guide perfectly, watched at least 5 dif youtube videos, and tried EVERY method listed in this thread (and many others from other threads/website)

Currently I'm just restoreing default settings -> trying to open the picture and then after the screen goes black I repeat the process with no luck. I've done this method at LEAST 20 times now. I've probably opened the picture using this method and all other methods combined over 150 times. I've been going at this for the past 6 hours. I'm all out of ideas and I'm starting to wonder if this is really worth it.


Oh btw, when do you think it will be possible to downgrade/CFW the PSP 3000 5.51? I broke my old screen and when I got it back it was updated (damn you Sony and your evil ingeniousness!).

ChickHEN is a hit or miss it can take a LONG time..just keep at it...and nobody knows when 5.51 will be hackable..

No It's not possible to run ChickHEN on any Firmware above 5.03..Sorry.

Not necessarily.Pandora is guaranteed to work on all 1000 series and any 2000 series that has a TA-088V2 or lower Motherboard.It does NOT work on a Slim with a TA-088 V3 Motherboard or ANY 3000 series PSP.

man i post and 1 hour later it works i think i got a trick wen trying to open the pic power on eject the memory stick and pull your battry well power on then pop it back in and then the mem stik back in and it shoud work did for my phat 1001

***Dont try this on the psp 3000 or 2000 with TA-088v3 Motherboard*** 4 those who dont know bout this, I've tested this several times on my G.O.W. 2001 TA-088v2 and has worked fine every time.

U want ur battery 2 be fully charged. Works on 1K and early 2K models

1ST- Update ur psp 2 OFW 5.03 by placin the update folder in ms0:PSP/GAME. Then run it. (after u run it delete it)

2ND- Download ChickHEN R2: Put the h.bin file in root of mem stick. Put the "ChickHEN" folder in ms0:PSP/PHOTO. (if u have a 1k, replace the slim.tiff file with phat.tiff)

3RD- Download PSPident and put in ms0:PSP/GAME.

4TH- Download Hellcats Recovery. Put RECOVERY folder in ms0:PSP/GAME.



Now 2 the psp. Go into photo and open the ChickHEN folder. Scroll down 2 the last photo. Then wait. Ur psp should reboot. (this might take a few tries) When ur psp reboots go under system settings and scroll down and hit X on system information. Should read "5.03ChickHEN R2" If it does go 2 next step.
STEP 2:
Open game and run PSPident to find out what motherboard u have. If its a TA-088v2 or under u can install CFW.
STEP 3:
Open game and run Hellcats Recovery. Select install m33 of firmware above. Now wait.
***DONT TOUCH NE THING WHILE ITS DOIN THIS. IT WILL BRICK!!!*** (if it bricks then u will need a pandora battery 2 un-brick)also again b4 u run Hellcats Recovery make sure ur battery is charged.

After its done hit X 2 shutdown. Turn ur psp back on and u will b on CFW 5.00m33-4. NOW u will b on the newest CFW without havin 2 use a pandoras battery. IM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF U BRICK UR PSP

ENJOY ur custom PSP. U will then b able 2 run iso/cso's (backups), emulation, and so much more!!!

I just bought my buddy's PSP 1001 and apparently, he updated the OFW to 5.51. Will this method still work for me? If not, then how can i downgrade and get this PSP hacked? Thanks
