unfortunately no but i have a skype which is twice as good as msn (i'm not a big fan of Microsoft software but skype is good because you can use speech for free) but anything else would be out of the question but i'm starting to have second thoughts about this method of downgrade and home brewing

but still a very good way to downgrade, also the firmware update was cool now i have a full keyboard in it's browser (but i have already gotten used to the integrated keyboard it normally had in the web browser but I'm getting off subject here)

bottom line i'd like to try this method because i'm tired of waiting for my mother to purchase a pandora battery after asking so many times but then i also think that the pandora method of home brewing is alot safer incase you brick the system

Help! plz. lol ok i got as far as pressing X on the PHAT image file in the video. now when he clicks it hes screen gets all messed up. mine doesnt. i can click on the PHAT Folder and then click on the .tiff file and it trys to view the image but it freezes and turns off. then i gotta turn it back on. What should i do? Someone reply asap. Thx

I just wanted to post that this guide, the video, and the files work PERFECT.

I had a PSP2001 with motherboard 085v1 with SN starting HU3 that was on OFW 5.02.

* I updated the OFW to 5.03 then removed the files from the memory stick
* Then i copied all the files to the memory stick listed in the post
* The tricky part was the same as it seems a lot of people...getting that 5th HEN image to 'do something'...here is what worked for me:

I kept running into the situation (7-8 times in a row) where I would go into the folder with the hen files and arrow down to the last one. It would lock, then power off...requiring a manual power on.
What finally worked was going to Photo>memory stick then doing a 'sleep' (quick flick of the power off) and then back on ofter a second. The PSP was still on Photo>memory stick and AS FAST AS I COULD i hit X X to get into the folder then the files, and held down the DOWN arrow till the last one....the PSP locked, then flashed GREEN, it restarted and then the FW said 5.03Chicken

Everything else was no problem...ran the double check, installed the CFW and I am enjoying my ISO's on the mem stick.

ALL that i need now is a version that works with OFW 5.5 ...have another one that the wife had upgraded that we'd love to get working. Out of curriosity...does a Pandora Battery work on 5.5 or do I have to chill till HEN comes out with a 5.5 version? Thanks...AND AWSOME guide!

pspmod doesnt support the download of iso and cso so i cant. u shouldnt ask that stuff here

hi people i am new here... have officially followed this tutorial and got the cfw! but i now cant get games to work they allways say corrupt when i go to them on my psp... any ideas? many thanks

when i tried to run the update in this thread (the ofw to 5.03), it gave me a corrupted data sign.
long story short, what do i do?

i have to extract the files to get em to work, but it says that i cant because the file isnt supported as an archive.

Ok so i upgraded to 5.03 and like everyone else i have the HEN problem
So i fallowed the written TUT first,no luck,i then fallowed the video(Just copy and pasting and running it),it shut down as soon as i got in folder ,but no restart and no CFW,SECOND time i did it ,it didn't do anything now and even after many other tries.SOOO now im trying vividos way now,i copied all of the files right,put in chickenHEN folder and put in PHAT psp pic,and still no luck yet,still trying out,any more thoughts on how to make this work?????????

I have to say I have just done a Phat using the download link and the instructions on the first post, the only thing I did differently was put the 5.00 Eboot into the root as 500.pbp, I did not bother to delete the 5.03 update folder from the GAME folder, either.

I did get stuck at the picture folder part, I must have clicked on the eggsploit image five times and nothing changed on the system information, then I clicked on the camera icon in the picture folder by accident, then when I went to the image folder it did the trick immediately!

Not sure if clicking on camera made the difference, but it works perfectly.
