Exclamation [Guide] Getting CFW on a PSP 2000 Slim

Guide To Getting CFW PSP 2000..wps
theres the file for all the colors and bold and italics
making it easier and more organized.

Guide to getting custom firmware on your PSP 2000 Slim.

***WARNING***
***I AM NOT LIABLE FOR WHATEVER HAPPENS TO YOUR PSP***
***ALL LINKS I PROVIDE ARE VIRUS FREE***

What you will need:
-A battery (3.6V 1200mAh) other batteries are at your own risk.
-A memory stick 1GB+ should be fine under that I am not sure.
-A PSP 2000 with FW 5.03. (Others once again are at your own risk.
-A USB cord to move files from your computer to your PSP.
-A computer obviously to download files and transfer them to your PSP.
-An open USB drive to plugin your PSP to your computer using a USB cord.
-A second battery or a charger to use an alternative power source.
-A program like WinRar to extract files to your computer from the internet.

What you will be doing is making a magic memory stick and a Pandora battery.
Please follow all steps correctly.
If you have any questions head over to http://www.pspmod.com/forums.
They are great and will help you out if you have any questions.
I think you need to sign up to download file 2 anyways.

I will give you links to all the files you need now and just name it in the steps.

File 1: File Details-Rain-s-UltraLite-MMS-Maker-v1.1-(4.01)-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -
File 2: http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...4-01-eboot-54/
These files wil be crucial in you making a MMS (MagicMemoryStick)

MAKING THE PANDORA BATTERY

What you will do first is make a Pandora battery.
I know this works for a 3.6V 1200 mAh others I am not sure about.

You will need to open up your battery and pluck a little prong so it is gone or isn't connected.
That is a summary of what we will be doing now let me give more in depth instructions.

Here is a video that shows basically what to do.
Sorry for the little kids voice but it was pretty good video.
YouTube - How to make a slim pandora battery

Watch that video that should help a little.
Here is a picture close up also that should help.

Please take your time on this part.
Like he said once you close battery and tape it up.
If you insert it and the light comes on by itself you have a Pandora battery.
The screen will stay black don't worry your PSP is just fine.

Now that you have that done lets get to making your MMS.
You will be using File 1 and File 2 for this part.
Just follow the instructions and you will be fine.

MAKING THE MAGIC MEMORY STICK

If you did the Pandora battery right, you can now format your memory stick.
But hey your PSP doesn't turn on anymore cause it goes black.
Wrong, you use your charger or 2nd battery as an alternative power source. Take out your battery and run off charger.
Turn your PSP on and format your memory stick.
I think you should know how to do that.
Now turn your PSP off and set it aside for now.

What you want to do is plug your USB cord into your computer but not your PSP just yet.
Download File 1 and File 2. Make a new folder on your desktop called PSP HAX.
Extract the files you just downloaded to that folder.

Open up your new folder that you named PSP HAX on your computer.
Still leave your PSP alone for now.
Double click RainsUltraLiteMMSMaker and it should open up.

Here is where you need to connect your PSP to your computer using your USB cord.
Make sure the computer recognizes it. Again run your PSP off the power of your charger or 2nd battery without the pandora battery in.
Once it is conencted, go to USB mode on your PSP and make sure your computer recognizes it.

Now find out what drive the PSP memory stick is in because you need to select in the drop down box on your computer.
Check format memory stick. Click Inject TM IPL Only.
Finally click make MMS. It should ask you for an EBoot file.
Where ever you download file 2, that is the eboot file. Find that and select it as your eboot and it should make the MMS now.
It may take a few moments but when it is completely finished exit out of USB mode.

Now here comes the magic.
Turn off the PSP completely.
Take out your alternative power source and you memory stick now.
Reinsert the memory stick, Hold down the L trigger,
Insert your Pandora battery and plug in the power adapter. You should see the install m33 screen, hit install 4.01m33 and wait for it to install.

Now this isn’t the latest CFW. So what you want to do is do a update on your PSP like you would regularly do before you had CFW no difference.
Once you updated turn your PSP completely off. Now hold R trigger and turn on your PSP and it should come to M33 recovery mode.
This is where you can activate and de-activate your plugins like remote joy and Nite PR. You must activate them when turning on your PSP or you will
have to shutdown and go back to your M33 recovery menu.

You now should have CFW. To check go to System Settings > System Information and I believe that you will see your firmware the and if it has letters in the
firmware you have successfully gotten custom firmware, good job.

**TIPS**
se plugins will be your main folder now.
All plugins hacks, emulators, most of that stuff will be put in there.
A lot of plugins have instructions on how to install them.
whenever your memory stick light is blinking do not turn your PSP off.
INSTALLING NITE PR PLUGIN ON YOUR PSP

I will now teach you how to get Nite PR on your PSP and how to add codes, or unban yourself.
Nite PR is a plugin that allows you to cheat in Socom FTB1 FTB2 and some other games I believe.

Plug in your PSP to your computer using a USB cord and go into USB mode.
Ok, at the root of your PSP memory stick there should be a folder seplugins, if not make a new folder and name it that all lowercase.

Click on seplugins folder and see if there is any files and folders.
You should have a game.txt file. If not go to notepad on your computer.
Enter this into the notepad on top line and that is it. ms0:/seplugins/nitePR.prx
Now save to your seplugins folder as game.txt

Now what you want to do is download this file and save it to seplugins also on your PSP.
nitePR.prx
Make sure it is called nitePR.prx if it isn't that rename it that.

Now here is another link to a file you need to extract to seplugins folder again.
nitePR.rar

I have some codes included there from sites that said they do not ban.
Some I found do if you leave them on to long hack at your own risk and do not hack in rooms.
Only hack in password rooms or glitch/hack rooms.

Now you have nitePR on your PSP.
nitePR needs to be turned on at start of PSP so once again.
Exit USB mode and shut down your PSP completely.
Turn on the PSP while holding R trigger.
Now go down to plugins and there should be nitePR.
You can activate it or not by pressing X while highlighting it.

If you are banned go to the accept/decline screen on FTB2 while nitePR is activated and press home twice then both music buttons.
That is how you get to your database while in game. Press start like it says.
Once your in you will need to press R trigger twice. Now go down to corrupt PSID and do that a couple times.
You probably will need a new name because you can't unban your name just your PSP.
Now try to login hopefully you have succeeded.
Good luck and do not hack in wars thank you.

Thanks to wikipedia.
I found this. This can tell if you can make your battery a Pandora battery.
I don’t know if you do it the same way I showed you how but it probably is.
Here are the ones that can and can’t be turned into a Pandoras battery.

You should make your guide better...Like outlining, bolding, changing colors and embedding pics and vids. And since its your thread, you'll have to answer the questions about this guide.
