All i can say is:
Hold the button before putting the battery in.
Make sure you do have a hackable.
Keep trying.

I just booted into the 1.50-3.40 mix with the O button on my bros 2000. So it works..

Yup, any firmware as long as the PSP is hackable.
Are you sure you have the files like:

Default Hacking with a Time Machine MMS

Hey penguin...

Can't try this right now, but might when I get home from work.

Can I use this along w/ OFW 6.00? Meaning, if I update to 6.00 in order to play newer games, I can use this to come back to 5.00 M33-6 without having to reset all my settings all over again? (ie PSP names, wifi settings, auto-run umd, enable wma/flash, etc) Currently its a real pain in the ass to switch back and forth, since everything goes back to default .

So, I already have a MMS that has DC8 and hellcat as well as 5.00 M33-6 update and all that good mess on it at home .

Am I right that all I have to do is add "Time Machine" to that stick and use my pandora to go back and forth, while keeping all my M33 settings intact?

OR...

Do I just update and then when I want to go back use my MMS/Pandora and "Test M33" to use my CFW to play my Emu's / ISO / Homebrew?

Sorry, this is kinda confusing to me.

You can use either DC8 or TM.
DC8: Install it to your mem stick as you normally would, have your PSP updated to 6.00 or whatever it's on and use DC's Test M33 as a full CFW without the need for reflashing.

Or...

TM: Either use the above package or DIY. One drawback of Time Machine- Can only use the 4 firmwares.

1.50. Fats only.
1.50/3.40 mix. Fat and slims.
3.40 OE. Fats only.
3.60 M33. Slims only

I'm not sure about being able to play new backups on old firmware though...
Kinda like dualbooting.

On my MMS the CFW it gives me the option to go to is 4.01 M-33, I guess I've only got DC7.7.

So if I replace that w/ DC8 that will give me the ability to go straight to 5.00 M33 when I Test M33 CFW, right?

Another issue I have is that my MMS is only a 2gb, but I use my CR5400 w/ 2x 16gb msdhc's for all my homebrew, back-up's, etc. I'm guessing I cannot format that stick to be a MMS, right?

I've used my CR-5400 to have DC8 on it before with no issues.
