installed ok but all games hang on psp scren then powers off

i want to ask you. if i install this CFW to my psp (3.71 m33-2 Psp2001) can it bricked ?
coz i got some problem with few games. it always show "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

I'm running 5.00 M33-3, and when I extract these file and put the PSP folder onto my root menu it still shows up as update version 5.03 in my memory card.

Hi, I had 4.01 M33 CFW and i've just updated to this firmware 5.50. Everything is fine but Dirt 2 doesn't load. What is the problem of such games please? Thanks

thanks, just updated from 401 m33 to 5.5

for games that wont start im using a game decrypter - search afterdawn.com for '5.55 & 6.00 Decrypter' im just trying it now...

edit - i got fifa 10 to work using the decrypter and this firmware woooooooooo

Hi,
First post so be kind!
I have a Fat PSP with CFW 3.52 M33 installed (I checked the system info page) It runs homebrew and other stuff fine.
However, when I attempt to run the CFW 5.50 program I get the message "must have at least 3.52 M33 installed"?
Am I missing something obvious here?
Please note, I did not install the original CFW on the PSP
Any help much appreciated.

admin & members, my psp's CFW is 4.01 M33-2, the process you have written will this work to update my psp ? it may sound silly but i am new to psp...... so please please help me out
