Hi dear gurus,

I have purchase a new PSP so below are the following information which i got from this wondrful forum.

White PSP with box stated "ss259" "L"

Mobo showing "IC1003" behind the UMD (which i believe its TA-082)

Firmware of 2.81 currently showing in the system settings.

can anyone let me know what are the exact step to play "friendly" games?

so far as i know is it nees to be upgraded first then do a downgrade is it? does the "TA-082" mobo have any issues or it does not matters at all, since if i upgrade to 3.03 then do a downgrade. i really need the exact steps in order not to bricked it as it really took my months and months of savings to get my dream portable entertainment. It says on the 3.03 to 1.5 patch..i need a UMD of LCS. meaning i need to insert the LCS game into it physically? so after patch it to 1.5, i can play my UMD backups already? what abt version with the 3.03 oe/b thingy? and other forum is not that friendly at all in returning my quries... well... i'll be thankful if someone is willing to help me here..

The steps that are already spelled out in this thread are as clear as you will find anywhere. Just go back to page 1 and follow the steps one by one.

Hi,

im glad that i've found this forum, u guys are great in this! and i've manage to flash my 2.81 ta-082 to custom 3.10oe-a'... you guys are top notch! but im still a greenhorn though... still need a bit of coaching here and there...

btw..if i would like to do a downgrade...would it be easy? or say... not wise? wats the main diff of 3.03....3.10..ect..?

It's easy enough to downgrade, just recover back to 1.50 with the Recovery Menu and then flash back up to whatever firmware you want.

As for 3.10oeA vs 3.03oeC, it depends. If you don't care much about customizing, just stick with 3.10oe. If you want to flash a custom topmenu and stuff, then get 3.03oe, 'cause it doesn't work with 3.10oe. I went back to 3.03 from 3.10 'cause I liked my custom icons.

Stupid question how do I update my PSP to 3.03 by using the EBOOT.pbp file?

I downloaded it from QJ.net and don't have a clue how to use it.

I just bought a new psp today and the firmware letter on the box is K. what firmware is that because if its a difficult one I'm gonna return it and try again!!

Put it in GAME/UPDATE folder

sorry for the suspension but it is a 2.71 and its a ta-082!! has anyone successfully downgraded one of these yet??

i think ta-82 downgrades fine with 3.03
the beginner has ta-82 i beleive

I Have A Ta-082 Psp With 2.71 I Ran Hen-d And The Screen Turned Blue And Green Then I Clicked On The Idstorage Change And It Said " The Game Cannot Be Started" Is This A Good Thing Or A Bad Thing What Did I Do Wrong???
