Ultimate Downgrader Guide 2.00-3.50 *Updated 6/27/07*

i've got a psp 2.50 and i followed the instructions saving overflow.tif in pictures and saveing index.dta and h.bin in my mp_root file on my psp but when i go looking for the pic it comes up with corrupt data??????
i thaught it my have been my spywair but i got around that???

Hi guys after reading most of the guides on here and other sites, Id like to downgrade from version 3.03 on a fat psp.

The only problem is I have Lumines downgrader and woundered if this would take me to v1.50 or is it best I upgrade to v3.50 then go down,Id prefer the safe option.

However it does mention on here that 3.03-3.50 is covered by Lumines, also the 3.50 upgrade is mentioned as a upgrade from 3.10-3.40 could this be used in my case with the v3.03 if need be.

Many Thanks to all the replys, I've got it all working now and Im running version 3.90M33-2 on one PSP and 3.80M33-5 on an other and its fantastic.

I've since found out that the cab50 software even the older one, version 2 to be absolutly fantastic,I have the new version but not tried it.

hi....i have been searching everywhere for some help but cant find it...i havent touched my psp for ages and ages and ages....this is what it has right now...firmware 2.00...with fastloader and devhook sample loader .40 on it, which is just fine for playing iso's and i dont rly mind about having sucky firmware...my question is why does it say 2.00 when i obviously had to have downgraded it from 2.00 to 1.50 to use devhook n stuff and also do i need to downgrade again to use this new hacking method i.e darkalex nn stuff?

when i click downdater helper it says game could not be started (80020114C) i have a fat psp and running version 3.03oe-c and i wanted to downgrade it so i can upgrade it to 3.52m33 so i can get 3.52m33-4 so i can get 3.71m33

if i go to 3.90 M33-2, is it possible to go back to 3.52 M33-4? would i need a pandora battery to do this? im happy with 3.52 m33 now, but want to try 3.90 for some newer games. thanks

Instructions

Here are the steps to downgrade any 3.50 PSP to 1.50:

Part 1 (Setting up the files needed)

1) If you have a 3.50 PSP skip to step 6

2) Download 3.50 update from here:
File Details-PSP-Firmware-3.50-(North-America)-PSP -

3) Unzip and place the file in <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE

4) On the PSP, run the 3.50 update from the memory stick under the Game menu.

5) Delete <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE

6) Copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.50 downgrader ZIP to
the memory stick

7) Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!

Part 2 (Enabling HEN)

8) Load Lumines and press x to start the game

9) The screen will clear to black and fill with a light blue colour, then
the PSP will reset itself

10) Check that HEN is running by going to system settings, then to
"System Information" and it should show up as system version
350 HEN

Part 3 (Downgrading)

11) If it is showing up as HEN then go to the memory stick and
run the x.yz update

12) If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be
prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it
can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed
without patching, if your motherboard requires it.

13) Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask
for you to agree to what it is doing, if you no longer want to
continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).

14) Once you have agreed to start the downgrade do not unplug the
PSP, or try and restart it

15) Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, and reset itself

16) If it comes up saying that the settings are corrupt, press x
to continue, this will mean you will need to re-enter the
settings for network connections into your PSP, otherwise go to
step 18

17) Load the included NetConfigBackup application in your PSP, and select to
restore, this will take the backup that was done of the network config
that was done automatically during the downgrade.

18) All done now :-) Hopefully you now have a 1.50 PSP. Enjoy it responsibly.

Regarding step 5 and 6, Does he mean delete the original PSP folder, and just replace it with the PSP folder in MS_ROOT from the 3.50 downgrader ZIP on the memory stick?

i feel retarded for this but i tried to get hen-c to work but after i put the files in the root and started up my psp all it showed was 1 image file in my photo place and my psp didnt freeze or turn blue or anything it just opened the picture..any ideas on how to fix it? thanks
ps i followed the steps i just dont know how to get hen-c to work im kinda dumb when it comes to psps
