why do they have to release it on separate dates though?

01-10-2009, 01:30 PM Also factor in that they make more money this way. They can produce the games and have all versions ready from day 1, but they release them seperately to make more money. There are a lot of people that will Buy a Jap game first and then buy the American version when it comes out. There are also a lot of people that will buy the American version and buy the PAL version when it hits europe.
They sometimes make the different versions have a few different features also. This adds to the collectivity of it all and they sell more copies.
There are a lot of people who love the bragging rights of having multiple versions of the same game.
