ISO&CSO 5.03 expert needed..help plz!

I'm a virgin with PSP.
Custom Firmware 5.03
mEMORY sTICK 32mb
A friend gave his old one up. I went through formatting the memory stick, now all files are empty.

I followed all the videos and FAQ that I read about downloading games and playing them on PSP but, none are working.

I created the ISO folder and downloaded a .CSO game (only 24mb)

I put it in the folder and my PSP says "there are no games".

I can add videos, music and pics and those work fine.Please tell me the right way to get this working.
