When I put videos on my PSP does it have
to be a certain type???
If yes then what types can I put?

yes psp video have to be in mp4
pspvideo9 is a great converter and it also puts the video on your psp
in the right spot.

lets say i have one saying mpeg can i simply change it to mp4 and it will work?

you need to use a program to convert it to mp4
you can't just change it's name.

Im looking at it now so I should get PSP Video 9 2.25 its the latest one.
Is it easy? Also is it fast?

yeah it easy to use
and it's pritty fast, it all depends on your computer though
i can convert a whole movie in about 20min

I have a few mp4 movies I'm putting on there and it says unsupported data. I used PSP media manager to put some AVI movies on there and it converted them to mp4 and those worked fine. For some reason these other videos that I downloaded are not working, though and they show as .mp4
