good afternoon im new here... i download a madden 08 game bt when i start the game is says the game could not be started..... my system software is 3.40 OE-A bt other games like shrek the third is working what is the problem? and how can i change my system software on my own... thanks

ok you might need to go into the recovery menu and change your kernel to 150 if you already havent done so. And if you plan on changing the system software go find the recovery file at psp-hacks.com put that into ur game folder so its like this psp>game>recovery> and go into the recovery menu select the boot from recovery option should be 3 one down, and flash back to 150, then from there upgrade to whatever CFW or FW youd like

ok for the kernal go into recovery mode and go to configeration then set homebrew kernal to 1.5 if you need any more info just tell me and i will see what i can do

To change the kernel, turn your psp compleltly off (hold switch down for several seconds) press down the 'r' button then turn the psp on. Go to game folder homebrew, should say 'currently:3.40 kernel'. If not keep pressing x till it changes to this.

To change your firmware you dont need to downgrade to 1.50 but if thats what your used to.

Start your PSP in Recovery Mode, then choose "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP". Read the instructions and press x. This will Downgrade your psp to 1.50 version. Don't shutdown the PSP or remove the memory stick until the update is finished.
Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 1.50.
