So popsloader has an option where you can have the volume +1 or +2... and it makes the sound alot louder.... so why cant somone put that into the CFW or into a media player... And why hasnt anyone put a EQ in a media player?
From what I recall the only homebrew that I came across that has this feature is pimpstreamer. Yes it will be a good idea to implement this into custom firmware as the psp is not the loudest device out there.

Well if you run an mp3 or a movie through pimpstreamer press O to bring up the submenu then hold L-trigger plus pressing up on the digital pad will bring the volume up to +1 +2 or +3. Much, much louder than playing it through the PSP's built-in MP3/MP4 player.

probably because playing at a volume above the intended maximum could damage your PSP speaker
I agree with that, I think alot of people would damage thier speakers and blame the firmware. Even though I would be smart enough to know when it sounds like it's going to blow, I think there would be a few handfull out there that might not.
thats why it should only work when your head phones are plugged in... like a really good EQ or somthing.... bc sound quality is not that great on the PSP there are a couple of built in ones but there should be more... like a 8 band EQ or even more... somone make this!

8 band EQ, but the when you put the psp on full volume, its louder in gameplay than it is in the music player
