Would I get away with it?
I bought a psp off ebay, and there are tons of dead/stuck pixels. Only visible when on a single-color background, when playing games its not really noticeable. If I were to buy a new psp and return the old one in the new psp's package, would i get in trouble somehow? - I know that you're thinking - I'm a bad person to do that, but I figure the dead pixels are Sony's fault anyway, and fixing the dead pixels on the psp I got should be their problem. |

I doubt it, just replace the bottom serial number and your good, as long as your old psp looks good/new condition..

or just get a dead pixel fixer first
there loads for the psp.
it's worth a try
and to buy a new LCD would cost you less that $50 on ebay.

I would suggest just get a new screen and not be a nitwit with the companies. They do send people to jail for fraud. |

Thats kinda illegal, and kinda immoral. I personally woundt do it, even if i knew i wouldnt get caught. Did the guy you bought it from tell you it was a good screen? If so, take it up with him/her. If you knew the dead pixels were there when you bought it it is your responsibility, not sony's.

Only silver, poor sony.
Duh it's illegal, I'm sure you have done illegal things such as download music, games, movies..

Duh it's illegal, I'm sure you have done illegal things such as download music, games, movies.. | i dont care about taking money from sony, but its not their responsibility to take the loss if he knowingly bought a bad screen. Instead of just taking it out on sony, why not take it out on the person who actually is to blame. If the guy from ebay knowingly lied to him about the screen being bad, making sony absorb the loss isnt really going to help anyone; the ebay guy just got away with selling a bad product and he'll probably do it again, hes the bad guy in this story (assuming, of course, that he did lie about the bad screen).

Hilarious that people get mad, when in the thread of "Brick PSPs what now?" one of the options is to do the walmart trick. Same shit, so don't get off on this kid. |

The walmart trick is bullshit though. If you are going to downgrade you know there is a chance that it will brick. Why cant people take responsibility for what they did. If i bricked my psp i wouldnt try to make anyone take the hit but myself. Its just kinda irresponsible and childish to expext someone else to make up for you mistakes constantly.
Thats my opinion anyway.
