man... it's nearly impossible to find an 8gig sony stick here in the states. anyone who has them for a reasonable price (ie sub $130) is backordered indefinitely. anyone hear why they are so backordered. problems with production? won't buy one off ebay. too risky. anyone that has any seems to be round $160 |

They are backordered because everyone, including us PSP users find them to come in handy. I am actually waiting for the 16gig or the 32gig to hit the shelves, im buying whichever comes first!!!!

Upgraded My first PSP all the way to 3.51!!! Hell yea, then got online the next night and found out you can mod them, so I yelled as loud as I could with my inside voice WTF?!?!?!?! I sold it to some dork and bought a used one for 80 bucks... So 2 crappy nights and 80 bucks later!!!!!
2.71>2.8>3.51 M33> 3.52 M33!!! Best 80 bucks I have ever spent!!!

the 16gig should be out by the end of the year, and the 32 they were saying first quarter of 08. Maybe sooner though because so many other devices are starting to use the pro duo cards especiall $ony products

they probably will be at first or until some competition comes but whoever puts them out first will pretty much set the highest bar.

wow. 32gig would be fantastic. that'll set the wallet back. have to work some ot to pay for them. right now i have two 4's for dig camera, two for video cam and two for psp. be nice to get rid of some of them and just have them as backups. any idea on firmware support for > 8gig? haven't seen much talk on it. | |

Theoretically, aren't > 4GB memory sticks supposed to be supported from firmware version 2.70 onwards? IIRC, they added FAT32 support or maybe just fixed a memory bug in that firmware update. FAT32 can go up to 8 or 16TB (I can't recall which). Obviously, addressing such a large drive is not an option for the PSP, but wouldn't it be capable of utilizing a mere 32GB? | |
