PSP keys are messed up :S

I am a ordinary psp 3.52 m33 - 4 user and i don't know much about psp yet only used for a month

a friend of mine gota gifted psp 3.40 oe-a and hes complaining that its keys are messed up and they were working fine before, o is for enter, and x is for back and stuff like that... also games from his umd aren't theres an error, and when he runs games from his memory card the psp turns off... can anyone suggest anything?

The buttons X and O are switched more than likely. That can be fixed in the recovery menu (hold right trigger at cold boot). The others sounds like you have a (i could be wrong. Most likely am.) corrupt flash of the CFW. Try installing 3.52 and see if that fixes the game issue.

you can acces registry hacks in the recovery menu that allow you to reassign keys. I've never used it, but it may fix you up.
