Default firmware chart showing differences?

I bought a PSP entertainment pack brand new (not refurb) two years ago and spent a few hundred bucks on some games. I used it for a few months, then set it back in the original box for new toys to keep me entertained.

My iPhone has kept me entertained lately, but tonight I remembered the PSP and whipped it out to see what the newest firmware would be since I used to keep track of the upgrades.

I believe (this is from memory) that my last firmware update last year when I saw this PSP last was 2.71 (?) I know that different things like flash were added, etc. for each firmware update and they seemed to give you good options and reasons to update.

There was a chart showing each firmware and what it added, anyone got that chart? I don't do any homebrew so what are the mentionable features that the newer firmware has added that would be worth upgrading for?

Edit: and I waited a year to make a post here.

Thank you, I ended up finding that chart after 30 mins of googling (which I stopped halfway through to post here).

It looks like this year has been busy for the updates. I don't intend to do anything but use UMD's at this point so any reason why the custom firmware would benefit me feature wise over going to network update? (I have a ton of UMD's)

One big question, has that stupid internet browser evolved any in the firmware updates?

Not if your only going to play UMD's.

Excellent, thanks! I have hacked the ever-loving-hell out of my iPhone so I am no stranger to hacks, but I originally bought so many games when I got this PSP that I really don't need to hack it at this point. I'm sure by the time I get bored there will be several down graders for the firmware I am running whenever that is .

Much thanks.

Yes. There's now a "Conserve Memory" feature in the settings. At least the "There's not enough memory" messages wouldn't require to reset your PSP, anymore. Well, so far, I haven't had to.
