I need help for my TA-82 3.40

I have TA-082 3.40 version. what will i do so i can play iso games. I heard you need to updated it to 3.50 then downgrade to 1.50 then install custom firmware. the only problem it will require you lumines umd which i don't have. Is there any alternative that i can downgrade to 1.50 without umd lumines?

use a pandora battery, which will write the 1.50 firmware to the flash, then you can update to a custom firmware, ebay it and youll find loads for sale i bought my pandora battery and memory stick from ebay.
