Default Bricked PSP?

I was running 3.51 m33-4. Decided I wanted to upgrade to 3.71 m33.
I ran the update program but I forgot to set the kernel to 3.XX instead of 1.5.
So when the install screen came up I declined. It the restarted and went to the menu. I then shut it down and tried to get in the recovery.
Nothing happens. The green light will come on yet the screen remains black. Is this a full brick or can this be saved?
