bought a psp in kuwait
i was returning from a deployment and i got a deal on a psp with some software that allows me to use my iso file instead of my umd. i would like to learna little more about what it is and what it is capable of. any help would be appreciated |

what firmware (system software) are you running?
you can find this at settings> system settings> system information.

what is the name of the software? like is it a pc program you got or are you talking about the psp's software (firmware)

you can do pretty much anything with that. read the tutorials first, and try to use the search function. good luck!
also i would recommend updating to v.4 if your not running that already. you can find the link and instructions here (3.52M33 (and Update) Installation Guide)

and please dont go to official firmware, you will lose all of the nice things you can do with it using custom firmware

One thing that I recommend is getting the Custom Firmware Extender plugin ( Custom Firmware Extender v1.8 Released | Karol Krizka), because it adds a lot of neat functionality like taking screenshots in game.
Other than that, I recommend subscribing to one of the psp hacking news sites, and just looking over all the applications that are released daily. | |

oh i also have some nes snes and n64 emulators, i have read a little about that on this site, but am i able to put them on my psp with my firmware or the firmware with the link provided above | |

1 Please don't double post
2 update to 3.52 m33-4, it can do everything the original can do, plus I believe there are a few bug fixes, not to mention it runs almost all the games with no problems
3 if you go to official sony firmware, you'll lose all your fun
