my ex's brother had it in his closet, heard i'd been looking for a copy, and gave it to me, glad he didn't know what he had

Because Final Fantasy VII is worth it? Besides, do you think Sony will be trying to squash homebrew like crazy if they had no fear of people playing downloaded/pirated games?

that is the mentality that will put game developers out of business and directly influence how often quality games are released. its one thing to back up and use a copy of something that you have to prevent damaging the original i am all for that, i play my games entirely off iso or roms but each and every one i have sitting in storage containers to protect them. i support each of the companies by purchasing the software/game/music from a reputable dealer such as retail locations or amazon.com (from amazon not other sellers on amazon) and as such events similar to the story behind firefly/serenity can exist. profits after the fact from sales of dvd media from the series prompted enough profit to produce a movie, which lost money in the theater but has made money now on dvd. because of this there is talks of a sequel. if we had all pirated that movie where would those talks be now? while i admit that i will download music, when i find something i enjoy listening to i purchase the entire album(delete what i don't like, why waste the space) and support those bands. its ideas much like yours that are why there is such a problem with piracy.

PS. were not supposed to advocate piracy on this forum, and your post did something very close to that.

edit: sry wrong quote first time. looong day at work half asleep when i posted.

What the hell are you talking about!!

You need to reread my post before you write a book telling me that I'm a pirate.

Here, I will copy it again for you so maybe this time you will read it:

Not all of us pirate software. I'm a collector and it means something to me to have the actual artwork and game discs.

I have never stole anything so suck it!
