psx on psp

I know this question is prob old, and some of you are tired of hearing this. But when i was reading up on psp, i read that you can play ps1 games on the psp cuz there is a built in emulator. But I cant figure out how without without downgrading.

You need custom firmware to play backed up ps1 games
meaning you would have to downgrade.

Yeah CFW is a must at least 3.03 OE-A or later...
